“Pomar de Frutas” mango wine has been produced by Codon Biosciences, exclusively from Alphonso mangoes by using patented wine making recipe. The Alphonso mangoes for our wine are hand-picked when ripe and firm from the farms in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, India. Codon Biosciences works in close association with the mango growers and the collection, pulping and packaging is done according to our SOP under the direct supervision of our well trained technicians and supervisors.
The Alphonso mango wine would be sold under the brand name ‘Pomar de Frutas’, which means Fruit orchard in Portuguese. The wine would be available as an off-dry variant in 750 ml bottles, in the state of Goa a few weeks before Christmas 2016. The wine is golden in colour with a fruity aroma and a long lasting finish. Codon Mango wine received the best product presentation award by (BIRAC) Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
